Round #6 Artists

Summer Camp 2010 Music Festival is proud to announce the sixth round of local / regional artists competing for YOUR votes during Your Facebook, Your Festival! The following five bands will be competing for your votes from Tuesday, March 9th at 5:00 PM to Tuesday, March 16th at 12:00 PM:

Harvyst

It is difficult to imagine another band experiencing the same musical journey as the live trance/electronica band Harvyst. Their ten year existence has seen them transform through various incarnations, from industrial and metal into a dance-inducing traveling party. Since shifting over to more electronic forms of musical expression, Harvyst have successfully infiltrated their local dance/DJ scene in a short period of time. In 2009 they expanded into a variety of venues, including outdoor festivals, underground raves, and breweries. A Harvyst show has always been a unique performance unto itself, a one-time event that will never be repeated, and listeners across Michigan have long been confused, intrigued, and entertained by their sonic explorations. They now have the added element of state-of-the art sound, lights, and a dedicated following. Harvyst have shared the stage with many luminaries of the Detroit DJ/electronic scene, including Jay Denham, Seoul & Linder, Punisher, and many more. They will continue to expand into new areas and new sounds and scenes as 2010 progresses. Dedicated fans of the local electronic scene, you will find them at events across the Midwest. Join them on their mission to bring good times to great people through the power of dance and electronic music.

The show encompasses high-energy soul inspiring sounds that will give you quivers & shivers & goosebumps all around. Savvy

In short, Savvy is looking to make danceable King Crimson tunes. In slightly longer, he is also the founder and David Byrne from "This Must be the Band," Chicago´s only and best Talking Heads Tribute Band. His experience playing the Heads´ strange funk has undoubtedly translated to his own music, although possibly in a more intrinsic way than a surface Heads fan might appreciate. Savvy will soon be taking over the world; no report from them as to how long that will take.
