Applications to volunteer for Summer Camp Music Festival will be accepted through May 7th or until all positions are filled.
Applicants with cash deposits will be accepted at the gate until all positions are filled. However, it is very possible that all positions will be filled prior to the festival, so it is best to get your Volunteer Deposit Ticket as soon as possible.
Volunteers must purchase a "Volunteer Deposit Ticket" for through the ticket page on the Summer Camp Festival website using a major credit card, as indicated on the site. Also, after purchasing the volunteer ticket, applicants must fill out the volunteer form entirely, INCLUDING THE TICKET CONFIRMATION NUMBER (this is the number included in your confirmation email) and the NAME ON THE CREDIT CARD.
Deposits will be credited in full to respective credit cards after the festival with completion of all required shifts. If for any reason an applicant is denied to volunteer, the applicant will be notified immediately and the ticket will be credited to the respective credit card. *Cash applications will no longer be accepted prior to the festival unless otherwise noted. However, should positions still be available at the time of the event, cash applications ONLY will be accepted at the Volunteer Check-In trailer to the left of the entrance road.
Volunteers will be placed to perform tasks as necessary, so it is impossible to tell exactly what any specific volunteer will do ahead of time. However, volunteers will definitely be needed to direct traffic in parking lots, help monitor gates, and help monitor showers among other things. Any task in which a volunteer is not physically capable of performing should be noted by the volunteer to the supervisor and the volunteer will be deferred to another task. All tasks will be supervised.
All volunteers must work 15 hours.
If a supervisor or Volunteer Coordinator feels that a volunteer is under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs and cannot perform the assigned duties, the volunteer will be relieved of duties and forfeit the volunteer deposit. Absolutely no exceptions will be made or discussed.
Due to the volume of volunteers at Summer Camp, requests relating to such things as missing specific bands, working specific times, performing a specific duty, etc. will not be honored unless an extenuating circumstance is presented. However, requests concerning working with a specific individual may be honored under the discretion of the Volunteer Coordinator. Also, volunteers will be asked to mark if they can work Thursday and no volunteer will be scheduled to work more than once in any given day unless specifically noted by the Volunteer Coordinator. (see Working Thursday and Will volunteers work more than one shift per day?)
Unfortunately regular purchased tickets cannot be refunded. ALL volunteers must purchase the Volunteer Deposit ticket in order to volunteer.
Potential volunteers should mark on their applications to signify whether or not they will be available to work Thursday. If Thursday is marked as available, the volunteer must be available to work Thursday. For schedule notification see When/How will I know what my schedule is?
Please indicate what time you will be available by on Thursday and you will be scheduled appropriately.
Volunteers must be able to provide proof of age that he or she is 18 or older by the first day of his or her volunteering.
No volunteer will work more than one shift per day unless otherwise noted by the Volunteer Coordinator in cooperation with the given volunteer.
Volunteers are scheduled randomly over Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and possibly Thursday if noted as available by the potential volunteer.
Once a potential volunteer’s form AND ticket confirmation are BOTH received, the applicant will be notified via a confirmation e-mail that he/she is accepted and will be provided with tentative scheduled shifts. If an applicant has BOTH purchased the Volunteer Deposit Ticket and sent the application and does not receive a confirmation e-mail within 2 weeks of mailing, please e-mail: volunteers@jaytv.com
Once the volunteering form AND money have BOTH been received, accepted volunteers will receive a confirmation e-mail providing the respective tentatively scheduled shifts. A final schedule will be e-mailed a week prior to the event.
ONLY credit cards will be accepted prior to the event. ONLY cash will be accepted at the gate, if positions are still available.
Your application is not complete until BOTH a completed form and your payment have been received.
In return for working the specified shifts, volunteers will be credited their deposit to the respective credit card shortly following the festival.
If for some unseen reason an applicant is not accepted and payment has been received, the applicant will be credited on the respective credit card in full.
In return for working the specified shifts, volunteers will be credited their deposit upon completion of their last shift. Volunteers do not receive free merchandise or preferred camping.
f you register to volunteer and are accepted, but do not show up to work a shift or even show up at the festival at all, you will forfeit your volunteer deposit and your credit card will not be credited.
Volunteers may camp in any general area. Volunteers may not camp in VIP or Staff camping.
