****Pre-festival registration has ended and mailed applications will no longer be accepted.  Volunteer applicants will now ONLY be accepted at the gate with cash only, until all positions are filled.****

The volunteers at the Summer Camp Music Festival play a large role in making the festival happen and helping keep the ticket prices very affordable for everyone.  Volunteers are required to put a deposit down in advance of the festival and are required to work three 4 hour shifts throughout the weekend.  Upon completion of their final shift, the deposit is then returned.

Please refer to to the Summer Camp Volunteering FAQ below before e-mailing any questions.

What kinds of duties do volunteers perform?

Volunteers will be placed to perform tasks as necessary, so it is impossible to tell exactly what any specific volunteer will do ahead of time. However, volunteers will definitely be needed to direct traffic in parking lots, help monitor gates, and help monitor showers among other things. Any task in which a volunteer is not physically capable of performing should be noted by the volunteer to the supervisor and the volunteer will be deferred to another task. All tasks will be supervised.

How much time must a volunteer commit?

All volunteers must work 3 shifts of 4 hours each. A total of 12 hours.

What happens if I am relieved of my volunteer duties by my supervisor because I am under the influence?

If the supervisor or volunteer coordinator you are working for feels that you show up to a shift under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs and cannot perform your assigned duties, you will be relieved of your volunteer responsibilities and forfeit your volunteer deposit. No questions asked.

Requests:

Due to the volume of volunteers at Summer Camp, requests relating to such things as missing specific bands, working specific times, working with a friend, performing a specific duty, etc. will not be honored unless an extenuating circumstance is presented. However, volunteers will be asked to mark if they can work Thursday and no volunteer will be scheduled to work more than once in any given day unless specifically noted by the Volunteer Coordinator. (see “Working Thursday” and “Will volunteers work more than one shift per day?”)

Can I get a refund for a ticket I purchased and still volunteer?

Unfortunately purchased tickets cannot be refunded. ALL volunteers must deposit $130 in order to volunteer.

Can I work on Thursday?

Potential volunteers should mark on their applications to signify whether or not they will be available to work Thursday. If Thursday is marked as available, the volunteer must be available to work Thursday. For schedule notification see “When/How will I know what my schedule is?”
